Two 9+ hour road trips with two under two in less than a month. I don't recommend it. We've had a great time but it will be good to be home for a while.
Our most recent adventure was to Locust Grove, AR to spend the Fourth with family at the Fraher-Hare reunion. Cousins, Aunts, Uncles and Grandparents... a gaggle of 30 gather here every other year to have all kinds of crazy fun. And fun we did have. Here is the first of several blog installments to document our trip.
Welcome Family!
Although remote and completely unplugged (little cell and no wifi), it's a really beautiful spot on the White River. Here is one particular morning sunrise (thanks to our little early riser, Fletcher).
We shared our space with lots of critters. Some welcome. Some not so much. Snakes, turtles, beavers, mice, butterflies, chiggers, wasps and these itty bitty bats.
We eat really well. Chef Joe knows how to take care of this crew.
We get our pool on!
We kayak up the river in search of even more critters.
We celebrate birthdays.
And get our drink on too.
